The Midtown Scholar Bookstore is a proud participant in the 36th Annual Harrisburg Gallery Walk on Sunday, September 8 from 10am-6pm!

This year, the Midtown Scholar Bookstore will be showcasing art and prints from Robinson's Rare Books & Fine Prints throughout the bookstore, as well as a long-term exhibit on the wall of the rare book and fine prints room. This exhibit was originally prepared for a 3-month Susquehanna Art Museum exhibit in 2019, with the intention of reconfiguring it for Robinson's, which will now happen. Title:  Hans Figura and the Viennese Etching & Aquatint

Viennese printmaker Hans Figura (early 20th-century) and several others of his generation employed this difficult technique to produce poetic views of old Europe. Our small exhibit will explain their process and even show the original printing plates from one of Figura's creations. Works by Figura and a few of his counterparts will be on display for browsing or purchase.
