Book Signing with Tory Gates: How the Story Ends

  • 1302 North 3rd Street Harrisburg, PA, 17102 United States (map)

The Midtown Scholar Bookstore is pleased to welcome local author Tory Gates to Harrisburg for a meet & greet signing on his new novel, How the Story Ends. This event is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase at the event.

About the Book:

Jhana has traveled main streets and back roads for more than a decade, searching for and sharing the stories of others. Now, Jhana returns to her hometown of Sorel to tell its tales, and that of her own. As she reunites with those who helped shape her life, Jhana notes the inevitability of change, and how despite this, many questions in her life are left unanswered.

Through flashbacks, Jhana recalls her youth and the influence of her parents Maura and Rahn, who let their daughter explore and championed her free-spirited nature. The closeness of her few friends, including the two girls next door: Lissa, who became Jhana’s soulmate, and the mystery girl who left Jhana to question herself. Jhana also documents moments of joy, but also trauma and tragedy which hit nearly every person in her circle. In looking back, Jhana knows the past is no place to live, but she must re-examine all these things, before her life can move forward.

In the hands of author Tory Gates, “How the Story Ends” takes the reader to times and places they will recognize. The return to one’s home evokes memories and feelings, and Jhana embraces each one to see how far she has come in life, and how far she will go.
